>> How to build a helmet recycled fixed arm of filming:
Materials:
1 - helmet that fits right in your head and get fixing buckles;
2 - clothesline cord used white and thin. We use to tie the stem of camera support. Can I also use plastic straps to attach with latches on the size of 200 mm by 4 mm;
3 - Rebar construction used of 1450 mm length and 4 mm in diameter;
4 - Electrical tape. We use to coat the external part and screws;
5 - Five nuts 4 mm in diameter. We use to solder and attach the camera;
6 - A camera mounting screw 12 mm in length. We use to lock and unlock the camera.
Anyway before building the equipment make sure everything is firm and well reinforced. Do not risk it and if you do not have constructive skills and locksmiths do not, ask a qualified professional.
Tools:
1 - Serra arc;
2 - drill bit and a 4 mm;
3 - Hammer;
4 - Scissors;
5 - Tape;
6 - Goggles;
7 - Mascara electric welding, if you choose to weld.
Note: If you do not want to solder the five mounting nuts you can bend the rebar itself in small circles and do not use nuts, also gives some more support is more rustic.
How-to:
With the helmet in hand, check the minimum distance of 500 mm and the angle of view of the camera you will use, bend the rebar in the middle and lock the first nut, then bend a 40 mm makes an angle of 90 degrees, distance 90 mm and bend over again.
Place remaining nuts on the ends of the rod where it will set the helmet. Mark and drill the four holes on the helmet where we hold the support rod.
Adjust the inner moorings and guide the rod to the desired angle I used 45 degrees to my right side.
Get Tested for photography and filming and fasten.
Check the camera installation and repair if necessary.
