>> How to build a mini dish astronomical recycled:Materials:1 - A mini dish recycled, with the largest diameter of 650 mm, height 500 mm in the focus;2 - A small piece of mirror measuring 400 mm by 900 mm, and cut several tracks and then into squares and triangles.3 - white water-soluble glue and a little tape.
Tools:1 - Pen cut glass;2 - Tape;3 - plier;4 - Sands;5 - Philips screwdriver.
How-to:In possession of mini dish, I remove the pipe fixing and use only the parable and the base as the photos show.I reset the screws and the base, and release the sensor to be placed a webcam or eyepiece view.I position horizontally and start from the inside out putting the pieces of mirrors in the same order that I'm cutting, gluing them together with glue until the end of each line. So I go to close the entire surface of the parabola.The leaves you free to focus on the placement of the viewers of the webcam and the camera lens.Important Note: When cutting the mirrors to the extent of approximately 30 x 30 mm, make sure that accidents do not occur, because glass is a cutting material and if necessary ask the glazier to do this, DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO GIVE YOUR RISK PHYSICAL INTEGRITY, THAT IF THE QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL IS THE BEST OPTION.
Assembly:Have everything cut and set, do the assembly and I tape externally to prevent the release of pieces of mirror or even leave some cutting edge at the ends of the parabola.Clean any excess adhesive in order to leave the largest possible brightness.Step a layer of tape around the edge of the parabola in order to avoid sharp edges and tips.
Use:With everything mounted orienting the mini dish to the viewing position of the stars by their photographer and web cam images generated by the focus of the parabola or the machine can also use digital camera to photograph or directly away from the focus point of the parable.
Conclusion:The proposal is to make a photo or filming the reflection of many mirrors placed in the curvature of the parabola in the center and focus of its highest consideration.The quality of the mirror in use will determine the quality of images produced, sometimes the idea may fall short of this project, so use only if it is recycled material and had been discarded, not spend time and money unnecessarily.
Precautions and Tips:Whenever we cut the mirror we should use goggles and gloves, and never be flustered when mounting the reflecting mirror, making sure it is securely attached and pasted in the parable and not be loose, so you do not have enough focus to photograph the satisfaction.You will spend 4 hours of service in the workforce of the construction and arrangement of the bases.
